Please note: The competition secretary has approved a change to the date of the first steering competition.

IT IS NOW SUNDAY 7th April  NOT 14th

Just a reminder that next Sunday is the first steering competition. The water is not available for free sailing while the competition takes place.
Should be a good laugh with the new 'mines' being used.

Less than 24 hours to the first competition of the season. Weather forecast not brilliant but we will manage. I will be putting the course out around 8.30 but will need two people to help get the rowing boat out.

Big thank you to everyone who turned up today to help with the event. Makes life easy.

Regretfully I have to report that your reporter won today :-[. Dave Nell second and Bob Golder third. Full results will be posted this week.

One slightly annoying issue arose.  During these competitions (6 weeks out of 52!!!) no boats other than the one completing the course is allowed onto the water from the start of the event until the final competitor has finished. That's the club rule and it wont be altered*. Anyone who feels the need can bring it up at the next AGM in the meanwhile let it rest, its not good for harmony to have constant moaning. It will be discussed at the next committee meeting however no change will take place this year.

* confirmed by the committee members present today.
