Damage to boats
« on: December 18, 2018, 02:20:15 PM »
Recently there has been three incidents where damage was caused to slow boats by fast boats. This issue is currently being considered by the committee who will meet late January and it will be agenda item. Its likely the sailing time slots will be altered to reflect the main activity.

In the interim I will be monitoring carefully the use of the water, or in my absence another committee member, but one would hope that common sense could prevail; if there a lot of yachts on the water then fast boats ought not to be. That said one hopes that the yacht users don't try to monopolise the water. For the avoidance of doubt, slow electrically powered boats and steam boats can sail with the yachts. Scale boats that are fast will be allowed if the owner has demonstrated the ability to dive his boat correctly and its reliable.

The last thing we need is any ill feeling arising from damage to models so please be understanding about the need to have some kind of control.
model boats are great fun, the faster the better.Floating kettles are interesting
