Annual General meeting 3rd October 2017
« on: August 27, 2017, 02:07:15 PM »
The annual general meeting will be held in Middleton St George Cricket social club On Tuesday 3rd October. The Secretary will be posting a notice in the club inviting proposals for the agenda and nominations for the committee. We are unable to have it any later due to the venue not being available.

If anyone has any proposals which need to be in writing please hand them to any committee member if the secretary is not at the club.

Nominations for the committee need to seconded.

The nomination lists are now up in the club house.

The presentation of all the trophies will take place at the AGM: I am currently sourcing some nice 'keeper' trophies and will ensure that all the main trophies are engraved with the winners names before the AGM. :)   Time is short due to the venue not being available any later therefore it will be a very big help to me if those who have the main trophies return them to the club as a matter of urgency. Thanks.

BTW If there is more than one person nominated for a particular position a ballot will be taken on the night.

Pies and peas refreshments provided foc. Our chairman will decide when to break for food.

There will be at least one important item on the agenda to be discussed and that is the club recovery boat and the option of buying a replacement.

Thank you to everyone who has returned the trophies, one more to get this weekend and the jobs done.

I have started a thread in the members only section to discuss the possible purchase of a new rowing boat to replace the one we have.

Today I collected the 'keeper' trophies. Really nice quality, worth having and displaying. No bars of soap this year ::) There will be a proper presentation of the prizes.

The rooms booked. Refreshments sorted. I have been doing a head count and it looks to be a good turn out.

Its members opportunity to comment on the agenda items.

Nothing much to write about. I have created a seperate thread showing the elected committee.
Decided not to purchase a new rowing boat; to be reviewed annually.
Members behaviour and code of conduct discussed and it will be enforced by the committee.
Provision of buoy watchers for the yacht racing discussed and to be introduced. (competition secretary)
The secretary to tidy up the current constitution and to put it into electronic format(a paper copy will be retained)

Minutes to follow.
